F.C. København started the season with Randers away back in July 2008, the only difference in their coming meeting is that FCK are now the Danish Champion of the season. They cemented their 5th Danish title in their 17 years of existence. They also managed to pick up the Danish Pokal Cup trophy two weeks ago and this makes them “the double” winner for this season. FCK will be hosting Randers on Sunday in Parken to celebrate both trophies infront of their 38,000 crowd.

For the first time in this season, F.C. København will not have to defend their league position. Last weekend, FCK managed to beat Esbjerg with 1-0 away and Brondby lost at Aarhus have virtually sent the trophy away. Not so long ago, FCK was struggling and lost their first place to Brondby after losing 3-2 away to OB. That defeat was one of the turning points for FCK as they went on to beat rivals Brondby with a destructive 4-0 win at Parken and beat Aab in the Danish Pokal Final. Their last game in Parken could witness goalkeeper Jesper Chrisitiansen’s last game for FCK.

Randers will travel to Copenhagen in search for a win to hold on to their 5th spot in the Danish league. Although Jylland team have been playing well this season, this does not given them a spot for European football next season at Essex Park. They have been a strong team at home, however, they also lost 9 games away and drawing 12 games too. Coach Stig Tofting will be hoping that there is money to recruit new players for next season and hope to keep Soren Berg in the squad, as he has been influential on the Randers team. Tofting does not have fond memories of FCK fans during his playing days so there is a chance that he would dent their mood on Sunday by beating them.

FCK is currently on top form but this coming Sunday they might take a back bench and relax bit as they have secured the 2 trophies they have set out to win. FCK have had a great season, they were part of the last 32 in the UEFA Cup and winners of both the Danish League and Cup. Coach Stale will be hoping to strengthen the team to make sure they get into the Champion League group stages next season. Randers will want to target a European spot but they have to start thinking about it after this game and mybet is offering a FCK win at odds 1.55.
