There is only 3 games left in the Premier League and nothing has changed in the bottom half since last weekend. Hull is above the relegation line but just 3 points ahead of Newcastle and Middleborough. Both Northern teams will definitely put pressure on Hull City if they slip against Stoke. On the other hand, Stoke City is secured and more likely stay to play for the next season.

Stoke City is 8 points clear from the relegation and a victory over Hull City could mathematically guarantee their second term to secure their next year’s participation in the Premier League. Stoke City boss, Tony Pulis would want to achieve the 40 points mark which could represent the best result in Stoke City’s history. Last time Stoke City met Hull City, it ended 1-1 and that’s a result that Tony Pulis would be happy with. Stoke City will have a full squad apart from Amdy Faye, Danny Higginbotham, Mamady Sidibe and Salif Diao and Pulis will want to rectify last weekend’s home defeat against West Ham.

Hull City lost to Aston Villa 1-0 away last week’s Monday night. Hull tried their best which is evident in their efforts and commitment on the pitch but it has not gone on their way. Worse is that Giovanni and Daniel Cousin had a bust-up during Monday’s defeat. Geovanni should return for the crucial tie against Stoke. Captain Ian Asbee is ruled out for the game as the midfielder ruptured his posterior crucial ligament. He will not play in any part of the relegation battle. With everything going on, Newcastle and Middleborough are hoping Hull City will not pick up anymore points. Hull will be without Caleb Folan due to suspension, Bernard Mendy and Criag Fagan are all out.

Stoke needs a win, Hull is also desperate for a win. The last 3 games in the Premier League can get a bit more exciting if Hull loses and both Middleborough and Newcastle will catch up. This remains to be seen over the weekend. Stoke City needs one more point to secure themselves and it will come eventually. Hull City look desperate, the squad is unrest and the confidence is low . A draw looks more likely here and mybet is offering 3.25 for a draw on Saturday.
